Yet another mission objective – to trace the path of the railway line during the days while the reversing station was being used. The track would take the path of the present day expressway and enter the Khandala station area along the bank of the water tank in the map from 1929.
Today, the permanent way is a single concrete path that disappears into huts towards the water tank – on the station side, the path passes this cutting to join the railway line at a gentle angle.
