The Up-line bankers at the Tata bridge – this was the only descending traffic we saw after we settled down on this hill at this spot. Soon it was time to go back and get a ride on the 1029 Koyna Express which is one of the few trains that stop at Khandala on the way to Pune.

This is because the curvature of inner tracks is greater than the outer ones. Therefore, the extra pair of safety rails for the inner one. You will also notice that these rails are placed just before the beginning of the curve.
