We walk till the Up and Mid line distant signals for Monkey Hill which is about 1.2 Km from here. The 1024 Up Sahyadri Express goes past towards Mumbai on the Up line.
As per a new interlock based on a speed detector, a the train passing through this section below a certain speed on the Up line would be allowed through Monkey Hill without the usual brake testing halt.
