Just before Gauge Conversion closed services on the Satpura Narrow Gauge Railway, a diverse team of railfans travelled the length and breadth of the system to document it for posterity.

This semaphore's vigil over the lines at Bhoma is soon coming to an end. The NG will give way to BG and the semaphore to a more modern color lamp signal.

At Keolari, there is this huge viaduct over the river Wainganga and the NG train towards Nainpur gingerly crosses it while the sun and cloud play hide and seek. (Trayambak Ojha)

By the time larger coaches with larger windows ply on this line, the kids would have grown a little larger as well.

The Khalasi was one of the smartest guy at this job-grade in total terms and was very efficient as we met him multiple times this day since this place was so peaceful. (Trayambak Ojha)

Very soon the train from Chhindwara arrives with another gang of Railfans who were on the same mission. Seen here is Mohan Bhuyan, Jay Balakrishna and Bharat Moro who managed to remain pretty discrete. (Trayambak Ojha)

Superb work. Thanks for taking the pains and for sharing. Due to the work by IRFCA members, such gems are being preserved for ever, even though only electronically.
