The bridge at Rajalukah

The 2'6" gauge South Eastern Railway branch line from Rupsa to Bangriposi is an all time favourite of mine, and was operated by a fleet of smart Edwardian 4-6-2s. CC 666 (built North British, Glasgow 1906) was in its 73rd year of services when I photographed it in January 1979 near Rajalukah while working an extra service between Baripada and Bangriposi.

The line has subsequently been converted to broad gauge .
