Pink steam locomotive!

Seven of these delightful 0-6-4Ts were built by Kerr Stuart between 1903 and 1928 for two narrow gauge lines operated by the Bengal Nagpur Railway. An eighth was built by Hunslet in 1931. They were all eventually allocated to Naupada to operate over the Parlakimidi Light Railway to Gunupur. Evidently the shed staff at Naupada had far too much time on their hands and several locos bore garish liveries when I visited in 1979. PL698 (Hunslet 1679/1931) is seen with its Gunupur bound train on 1979.01.05
