WP 7556 on shed at Delhi Junction, 26/1/89. I don't claim this to be particularly exciting, but it was my very first Indian steam photograph, and I would like to ask if anyone can shed any light on the name? Maybe it was just the work of an enthusiastic regular driver, or was there more to it than that? I don't recall seeing any other WPs carrying a name in this way. (John Tickner)

Some of the WPs did have names, even though I do not think there was any official policy to give locomotives real names. One that comes to my mind is "Sanjay" and a Saharanpur based WP "Rehmat".
