Notice how high the rails of the crossing line are above the rails of the mainline. If you look closely, you can see wear marks from the wheel flanges of crossing wagons on mainline rails. This is because the flanges actually ride OVER the mainline tracks! It is going to be a messy ride for the freights that will cross here.
