A very rare capture. YAM 1 21904 with a goods train zooms past Chennai Egmore. Even as late at January 1998 these little beasts handled all sort of duties in Chennai MG section. MG has gone all together from Chennai and with it, the YAM 1's. It is even hard to find an MG goods train in Southern railway now

Earlier it used to have the title "Pallava King", although it is not seen in this picture. This is given in Hughes (Vol 4). I had seen this name on the loco in 1967.
