Lightweight Control telephone for use during emergencies.The six-pin plug is inserted into the wayside telephone sockets which are located at one kilometer intervals in electrified sections.
It can work both in 2 wire as well as 4 wire mode and has a "press to talk"button at the side.This telephone is supposed to be part of the emergency equipments in all locos.Similar telephones are provided to gangmen and keymen and other persons who work on the line and may need such a telephone in emergencies.
