Face changing fad seems to have gripped the Western Railway. After shed Valsad, here is a WAG5 loco of BRC which has been painted with the face/livery of a WAM-4.On the side is written boldly"Fit for passenger only".Probably has a max speed of 110.Picture shot at Surat station.Gear ratio is 21:58.Sorry for the poor quality and framing.Picture to be used for loco database. So isnt this now technically a WAM4 loco with the same traction motors and now the same gear ratio? Then why the misnomer WAG instead of the more apt WAM?
