A non Indian Railway scene on a Christmas day. This is the BG merry go round double line supplying coal to Talcher super thermal power plant from the coal pits of Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd. The strong yet comfortable sun has already lifted the fog. Much of the line and the adjacent road pass through dense forest. Wagon tipplers are not employed in this plant for emptying the BOBRN wagons and the coal is taken out by more simple yet effective bottom discharge method. Nope, this loco was despatched directly to NTPC-Talcher from DLW on 30/6/2002 with the works #468.

Good snap.
Was this loco with any of the IR sheds any day earlier?Looking at the classification WDG-3A(?) near the right buffer and the unusual road number T0008,looks like it was transferred to TSTPP from some shed.
