This locomotive is amongst the first batch of WM Class 2-6-4T tank locomotives supplied by Vulcan Foundry to EI and GIP Railway in 1939 for heavy suburban traffic. It was not delivered until 1942 due to the war. Image provided by Graeme Pilkington, from the Vulcan Foundry web site.
