The T/P board is sighted and the WDM3A explodes into a furious throbbing rythm, smoke billowing out as the loco accelerates out of the speed restriction. The Nandigram Express is just 12-13 coaches and so does not really need to wait to pass the T/P board before accelerating. A '500 metres to Neutral Section' warning board ahead is of no real consequence to the diesel. P.S: A certain diesel dude from Pune seems to have the power to set minimum smoke output standards for Pune shed locos, if they are to be considered fit for service ;-).
