This is in reply to Apurva Bahadur's suggestion about a good railfanning spot just before Neral where one can spot the NG train climbing up the hill. This is approximately the said location and the morning service from Neral to Matheran can be seen climbing fully packed with holiday-makers. Pic taken on 26th January 2008.

Karan, I had done RF at this same spot on 31MAY last year & I had taken the video of CST Pragati Express from there. On 26JAN 2008 I was standing close to Neral-Matheran tracks & took the video of CST Chennai from there. Both these spots are railfans...
