YDM4 6489 lies in wait with a saloon which was returning from an excursion to the damage site between Harangajao and Mailongdisa. ()

This location is just after Daotuhaja station after which the line encounters a series of 3 switchbacks to gain altitude. The ruling gradient ranges between 1 in 60 to 1 in 75. The pic is taken after encountering the 2nd switchback. ()

The forest prepares to eat the train as it encounters a 1 in 61 grade which is making the YDM4 roar. ()

The Hyderabad-Dadar Special, hauled by a Pune WDM-3D, looks tiny amidst the mighty mountains of the Bhor Ghat. The hill on the right is the famous 'Monkey Hill' and the Monkey Hill cabin (MHC) can be seen next to the train. (Karan Desai)
