WDM and WDP Pics

This section is dedicated to the magnificent diesel beasts running on IR and hauling a major part of rail traffic across India .

A WDM2p (No. 18708R) from Abu Road Shed hauling a Military train (Pics in Miscellaneous section, or click here for its pics) enters Delhi from East . With the bright red coat of paint it seemed that this loco was in for repairs recently.

  Same loco , different Angle.

2401 PTN - NDLS , Shramjeevi Exp. enters Delhi with pair of WDM's from TKD as in charge. They had just accelerated just a few meters before and still smoke can be seen at the top left corner which was being released.

Same pair of locos but different angle.

A WDS 4 stands between two WDM's from LKO bearing same livery, on the fueling line at NDLS . The barrier in the pic is the grill of  EMU from which the shot was taken. Despite my best efforts the train was so shaky the grill managed to come in the way. It always makes me wonder how they arrange the order of standing of these locos on this dead end line.

A WDM from LDH proceeds towards the fueling line for refueling. Note the standard LDH livery for WDM's, the standard maroon color with two white stripes in front. Also, in background the Kolkata Rajdhani rake stands on the cleaning line.

A WDM2 (No. 16301) from LDH hauls NDLS - Jalandhar Superfast from NDLS towards GZB at high speed. Again note the standard LDH livery for WDM's.

A WDM2b (No. 16653) from LKO hauls a load of Oil tankers into Delhi . Note the Indian Flag painted in front of the loco.

A real messed up shot of two WDM2's from TKD standing on the fueling line and a WAP 4 from CNB shunting around.  Again the train was so shaky that the grill managed to spoil the shot but still you can spot the loco's in the background.
