Delhi Metro was inaugurated in December, 2002. Unfortunately I was not there to enjoy it, but my younger brother, Ashwin, did a great job of covering the metro thoroughly. He went to the Shastri Park Depot, the stabling house of the metro and got up close and personal with the metro. Enjoy the pics, and you will see what I mean. :-))))

No, its not "Welcome" as we say while being polite. The Welcome is
actually the name of the place and thus the station. The area
is adjacent to another area know as Seelampur and this area hosts all the banners saying "Welcome to Seelampur". Hence to give the place a name of its own, its known as "Welcome". My brother posing in front of the same.
