Videos from Chengalpattu, near Chennai.
Most of the videos here where shot from the embankments of a road over bridge near Paranur, about
5KM north of Chengalpattu. Also included are videos shot from atop a hill overlooking the
picturesque Kolavai Lake, about 2km north of Chengalpattu. Videos here are of passenger trains,
mostly hauled by Indian built ALCO WDM2 class diesels running on broad guage. Also look out
for meter guage electric YAM1 action. YAM1's running days are numbered due to the ongoing gauge
conversion.
