MRVC Driver cab
The phone is NOT for calling the other cab. Speaking to the person in other cab is possible through the PAS system of the rake too. This phone is for the TMS and offers a much wider range of functionality (which includes calling the other cab).

The panel to the left of phone (with orange display above it) is for PAS and destination board. To the left of its is speedo and brake guages. Further left is the diagnostics panel which shows many parameters of the rake. None of these have touchscreens. To the left of diagnostics display are miscellaneous switches for headlights, bell etc.

Kharad - 1xxx and 2xxx series have nothing to do with newer or older. ICF has never maintained any order while despatching the rakes. The only difference is 2xxx rakes have been purchased through World Bank funding and 1xxx rakes, through IR+Maharastra StateGovt shared funding.
