View from hotel Mermaid was fantastic and at a safe distance from prowling eyes of RPF. There is also third photos of Kundale Valley light railway loco, side profile of loco with lots of people standing around it. I have taken that picture but its too blurry to upload it in gallery :-((

Pawan, you are in my territory and hope you enjoyed it!! This photo was actually shot by the grandfather of a person called Joseph Raj who runs a small time studio in Munnar now. His grandfather was a well known photographer. I had contacted him several years back and he gave me the slide. I had uploaded it here:

Another photo, this was shot on the same place where the Cochin Munnar NH 49 road adjoining Pallivasal dam stands today. It is on the curve besides Blossom Park:

The line from Ernakulam Jn to Cochin Harbour Terminus used to be mixed gauge upto the time of conversion. I used to see YG-hauled goods trains running into Cochin during the 1960s.

Note the unique font which may not be found on any other station. Some signs with this font can be seen at LKO even today.
