Our friend from Gir Forest. This youngster who guided us to ride across the difficult sections of the jungle, also invited us for a most delicious cup of tea we ever had. He and his family who live in this humble hamlet, is a part of Maldhari Community that lives in this jungle for generations. They sustain themselves by grazing their livestock and harvesting what they need from the forest. The sizeable portion of their herds lost to lions and other predators is considered prasad, offered in exchange for living in another's homeland. (Harish Kumar)
