A view of the Khandala from the top of the tunnel 25C. This is the longest tunnel in the Bhore ghats and carries the down track from the point where the highway crosses over the tracks till this place – a distance excess of 2 kms.
Two of the three catch sidings are visible here. One is on the left near the huts and the second is on the middle hillock. The two older main lines up and mid can be seen curving near the date palm tree – the third catch siding is further away from the main lines.
