A mass of humanity awaits the already packed 1NNJ as it slows into the classic Itwari Jn. – note the outdoor signal and point controlling platform and the nice station roofline. The broad gauge station is on the other side of the fine building.
At Itwari, the narrow gauge line arrives from Nagpur (which is a terminus) and bifurcates towards Chhindwara and Nagbhir – hence the “Junction” in the name.
The NG coaches have all the standard features - lighting (fluorescent lamps in some coaches !) and fans with charging system (note the battery charging generator under the frame of the first coach), continuous vacuum train brakes, toilet with plumbing, sleeping berths (not on this rake) – some special NG coaches have vestibules !!!. Itwari Jn. 2006-12-09.
