  5. NGP-CWA NG trip 186

The NG-NG Diamond crossing at Chhindwara Jn Station. The 2 NG platforms (the ONLY elevated NG Pf’s in India!) at CWA are aligned end to end! One Pf ends where the man is standing (just beside the engine which is the ZDM4A that brought us from NGP). Then there is a “no man’s land” which is cemented but almost at ground level (beside the Diamond crossing). And then the cementation continues into another elevated NG Pf. To a new onlooker, this all looks very weird what with 2 fully loaded NG passengers standing on “seemingly same” platform facing EACH OTHER like 2 wrestlers waiting for the gunshot to start! They use THIS diamond crossing to get away without banging on each other! Dr Akash Bang
