A view from the viaduct showing the line to Dhulghat passing below. The concrete pillars have the marking "CCN, RL-BF, RL-TF, M, R" - similar markings are found on an old abandoned bridge of the MG alignment near Pune. We need comments from bridge experts to interpret these markings.

M,R - The strata on which the foundation is built. In this case its Murum and Rock. (Usually a number is inscribed with each of these indicating that while digging we passed through x ft of Murum and now resting on rock. But no numbers have been inscribed for the Murum here). Nitin Shukla
