We forded shallow rivers at two places and carefully slithered through slippery mud surfaces, with muck deep enough to trap our Sumo. Lalam watches the driver (left) debating whether the vehicle would go through. The other person (right) was a helpful local resident who guided us on the correct paths amongst the bewildering turns and tracks in the dense jungle.
