Naupada reflection

PL 696 with the daily Naupada to Gunupur narrow gauge train, 1991.08.28 This little series of pictures were taken in gloomy but dry monsoon weather. It was oppressively very hot, and our 55 pence a night accommodation (that was the rate for a double, of course) was infested with clouds of midges. The room boys, who slept on the tiles in the corridor, were thankfully very good at supplying frequent beers, despite the supposed strike that was taking place. It was basically damned hard work. If only it were still there to go and do it all again!
