This signal cabin was used to control Dhanbad Diamond Crossing on the now defunct Dhanbad - Pathardih branch line. The crossing was just after the Dhanbad - Chandrapura branch line bifurcation and was clearly visible from this line.
Due to the closure of the Dhanbad - Pathardih line, the crossing was uprooted to remove the permanent speed restriction. The signal cabin is the only remnant of what was the first diamond crossing in India. Picture by Avishek Ray. (Avishek Ray)
