The WAP1 celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. However, the locos have aged gracefully and still do sterling duty on various superfast trains. Here, the very first WAP1 #22000 hauls the Sachkhand Express to Nanded. Okhla (Delhi), 13/1/05. By Shashanka.

This WAP1 doesn't exist in this livery anymore. It may have earlier belonged to AJJ shed and was later tranferred to Ghaziabad. The train is the Goa Express to Nizamuddin entering Itarsi Platform No.1. You can see a WAG7 sneaking up behind the WAP1. That is coming from the Nagpur side. Two trains coming in from one direction - A sure sign of a busy station!. Itarsi, January 2002. By Alok Patel.
