A Kanpur WAG-7 makes a rare visit to Ernakulam. If it is coming from Kanpur, it would have travelled a greater distance than the longest Electric passenger haul by ED WAP-4 of Kerala exp. This is the end of the WAG-7's long journey. Ernakulam JN, 2003-12-28. By Jimmy Jose.

A blown transformer on AJJ WAP-4 22602 meant that a LDH WAG-7 had to be procured from way off to haul the Brindavan Express into Bangalore. Here it arrives at Bangalore Cantt. 3 hours behind schedule. Note the people jumping into the train here itself as they do not want to wait for the return train in an hour's time. All those Barbie Doll livery locos reminded me of this stunning modification job. WAG7 27512 from Kanpur is perhaps the only facelifted WAG7 on IR. Named Prayas, this loco was hauling a rake of empty coal wagons towards Korba. The loco has managed to retain its looks for the last few years without any stripping down. Good work Kanpur shed!.
