Table 2-2A (CR) : Itarsi-Allahabad/Allahabad-Itarsi - from 1977 All-India TT. The 139 GK was faster than the present 2669 GK by a whopping 2 hrs. 40 mts. from ET to ALD, and had two less halts. The 140 GK was faster by 48 mts. with one less halt. The 140 GK used to overtake the Mail near Manikpur. I have personally witnessed the Sarnath Exp. overtaking my Mail at Lohgara. (Mani Vijay)
