was built in the year 2006 at Pakistan Locomotive Factory, Risalpur near Peshawar. In the background are the Margalla hills.

These locos are originally of Chinese design. DPU 20 = Dahlian Pakistan Universal, 2000 HP(?). Dahlian - the Chinese city where these locos were manufactured. P = stands for assembly in Pakistan. U = universal, i.e., fit for both passenger and freight...
