Why does the AC3 sleeper need a pressure switch (Cut in 0.35 Kg/cm2, Cut out 0.7 Kg/cm2) in the brake pipe circuit ? While the pressure gauge is seen often in the coach's cabinet (though, again why is it needed in a coach ?) - what interlock or indication in the coach's electrical circuit operates by the brake pipe pressure ? 13th Nov 2007.
